Hopefully some of you were able to stop by the Art*Bar to view the many pieces on display, including some of mine, in the “mini” exhibit, which is now over…if not, you now have to wait until Dec. 2012 for the next one!!
Now at the Art*Bar…
Fifteen of my pieces are in the Art*Bar “Mini” exhibit. It’s a fun exhibit–and the walls of the Art*Bar are full of art! All artwork is 8″x8″ or smaller, and under $100. If you are in Milwaukee, stop in sometime during November or December; it’s on Burleigh, west of Humboldt in Riverwest.
A Busy Fall!
I was happy to have a piece in the Alverno Alumnae exhibit for the month of October…
Also, during October, we were challenged setting up our exhibit in a much smaller than expected space at the Chicago Catechetical Conference…but it turned out to be a good 2 days! The days were intense, but we enjoyed seeing past friends and patrons and meeting new ones…
Then we began November exhibiting at the Call to Action Conference in Milwaukee. I appreciated the visit and help of friends from Minnesota, especially since health problems caused me to leave my exhibit early…but they carried on for me! And, of course, Mark was there with his birds, too.
What’s next?
It’s been about a month since our exhibit at the Symposium at Cardinal Stritch, which went very well. Thanks to all who came, enjoyed, and found artwork to purchase!
So what’s next?
Well, we will be exhibiting at the Chicago Catechetical Conference in October in Oakbrook Terrace. And we are looking forward to the visit of our missionary friend from Peru, Fr. Alex, who will be here in mid October. We want to be ready before Fr. Alex arrives, so that is one challenge. There were limited exhibitors accepted at the conference and exhibit spaces are small, so setting up will be another challenge!
Exhibiting again!
We are now getting ready to exhibit at the Fifth Annual Symposium: Spirituality of the Laity at the St. Clare Center at Cardinal Stritch College. We’ll be setting up on the 17th so we are ready for the event on the 18th. Our exhibit will be from 8am. to 2pm. in the hallway of Bonaventure Hall, so feel welcome to come in the Bonaventure entrance if you want to stop by. The picture on the left is from our exhibit there last year.
